Dear Payroll Managers & Timekeepers,

On September 28, 2022, the Timekeeping Administrators will implement an enhancement in Kronos. This enhancement reformats the aliases displayed in Labor Level Transfer Sets for employees who are transferring their own time when entering Hours Worked, or punching at a physical timeclock. This change will help employees select the appropriate job when they have multiple jobs in a single department. The Timestamp widget is not impacted by this change, nor is the view that payroll managers and timekeepers see when manually transferring time on an employee’s behalf

When employees transfer, they see an alias presented for each job’s labor account string.  Currently, the alias is formatted as follows:

DEPT-RATE {JOB-ACN-POSITION}

Hours Worked example:

After the change, the alias will be formatted as follows:

DEPT-RATE-TITLE {JOB-POSITION-ACN}

Hours Worked example:

The position title comes from UCPath and defaults to the job code title. If departments wish to add a custom title to a position to provide more clarity to an employee, they can do so via a Position Control Request in UCPath (PeopleSoft Menu -> UC Customizations -> UC Extensions -> Position Control Request).

Here is an example showing a mixture of default versus custom position titles:
