Dear Payroll Managers and Timekeepers,

As a reminder, the Kronos web application is fully available and functional for users using off-campus internet connections. The UCSB Virtual Private Network (VPN) is not required for using Kronos. Payroll Managers and Timekeepers should not experience any issues accessing Kronos, or editing timecards/configuration while working remotely.

However, access to the Timekeeping Manager Assignment Application (TMAA) and Data Warehouse requires a campus VPN connection. If you are working from a remote location and need to use either application, you will need to connect to UCSB’s VPN before attempting to access them in your web browser. If you are off-campus, and you try to access TMAA or Data Warehouse without being connected to UCSB’s VPN, the page will not load.

You can read a brief overview of what a VPN is here, and view installation instructions for different operating systems here. You may also want to read the published VPN FAQs. Once you install the Pulse Secure VPN client, you can use your UCSBnetID and password to connect to the UCSB VPN.

If you need additional support or have other questions regarding the VPN, you can contact ets-info@ucsb.edu.

If you have any Timekeeping- or TMAA-related questions, you can submit an Electronic Timekeeping ticket at ithelp.ucsb.edu.
