Dear Timekeepers and Payroll Managers,

Starting in January 2021, the Kronos monthly sign-off and corrections dates are being adjusted to align with the UCPath Production Processing Schedule inbound files and location corrections deadlines. The Timekeeping calendar has been updated.  Please note, there is no change to the pay period end (PPE) dates.

Why is this change occurring?
When UCSB integrated with UCPath in 2018, the monthly upload date was standardized. The 15th, or closest business day, was chosen to give departments a consistent schedule, and provide a large window for any needed corrections.  At the time, the complexities of data changes and how UCPath processes requests in conjunction with deadlines were not well-known.

Over the course of 2 years on UCPath, we've learned:

  • there are few corrections in the monthly upload, which reduces the need for maximizing the corrections window
  • the employee data change deadline is always after the 15th
  • uploading prior to the UCPath deadline for PayPath employee data changes is triggering errors
  • the current corrections upload is often prior to the UCPath deadline for PayPath employee data changes as well

If you have any questions, please submit an Electronic Timekeeping ticket at: ithelp.ucsb.edu, or call the Service Desk at (805) 893-5000.

Thank you,
ETS Kronos Administrators
